In this Intromediate, suitable for new and continuing students alike, I will provide a complete and intensive presentation of the 28 positions and major qualities in the Shen-Hammer system, as well as offering hands-on practice and supervised practice with volunteer patients. Class will be held at ACCHS in Oakland, California.

Introductory Seminar: The Foundations of Shen-Hammer Pulse Diagnosis
In this course Brandt teaches the complete fundamentals of the Shen-Hammer Pulse system. Both hands-on and lecture formats are woven into the coursework. This course is appropriate for students who are new to the system, or to anyone wanting to explore the system further, or review the fundamentals in an intensive format.
In addition to learning how to feel the pulse, live cases are employed to demonstrate the art of interpreting and diagnosing the individual in all their complexity, and wholeness.

Intermediate Course
These are skills review courses meant for anyone who has already taken an Introductory seminar.
"Acupuncture and CCPD: Getting to the Point." In this course Brandt will focus on a channel-by channel discussion of specific points and strategies that he commonly uses based on specific pulse findings.

Introductory Seminar
Introductory Seminar with Senior Instructor Brandt Stickley: In this course students will learn the art and science of the Shen-Hammer pulse diagnosis system. The course will cover in detail the theoretical framework of pulse diagnosis. Hands on experience will be interwoven throughout the course to grasp its complexity. The one-day per weekend course over an extended period has been very popular with students, and seems to promote a thorough apprehension of the material.

Diagnosis and Treatment of Psychological Disharmony
In this course, Brandt Stickley will provide an overview and review of Shen-Hammer Pulse Diagnosis, and provide the key to quickly and accurately diagnosing the behavioral, psychological and spiritual aspects of a patient’s condition. Pulse Qualities as signs of psychological disharmony will be taught in terms of sensation, interpretation, and physiological gesture. Classical formulas and acupuncture approaches will be described, focusing on the Shang Han Lun, Eight Extraordinary Vessels, Five-Phase dynamics and visionary acupuncture. This course is suitable for beginning and experienced students of the the pulse system.
A handout will be provided.

Shen-Hammer Pulse Diagnosis Intermediate Seminar
This 2-day seminar offers continuing students a hands-on review of the pulse positions, qualities and depths, and is a great opportunity for students to develop and deepen their understanding of treatment and management planning via case-based instruction. The course is open to anyone who has received introductory training with any certified Shen-Hammer instructor.
